A mobile group of Smolensk customs stopped the illegal import of 426 motorcycle tires without the mandatory marking with means of identification

Customs officers stopped a car carrying cargo from Belarus to Russia on the federal highway “M-1 Belarus” in Krasninsky district of Smolensk region. According to the accompanying documents, the cargo compartment was carrying 426 tires with a total weight of 1950 kg. The country of origin of goods – France, Japan

In the course of inspection customs officers found that the tires are not marked with means of identification, inclusion of which is stipulated by the legislation of the Russian Federation

So, there are circumstances indicating the presence of signs of an administrative offense, responsibility for which is provided by article 15.12 of the Code of the Russian Federation on Administrative Offenses.

The materials have been sent to the Department of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare in the Smolensk region in the order of interaction to take measures in terms of available powers,” – said the head of Smolensk customs Rustam Yakubov.

Marking of tires is stipulated by Regulation of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 792-r of April 28, 2018, “On Approval of the List of Certain Groups of Goods Subject to Mandatory Marking by Means of Identification.”
