Foiled an attempt to smuggle drugs into the Republic of Abkhazia.
June 24, 2020 staff in Sochi UFSB of Russia across Krasnodar territory in conjunction with the Sochi customs in the result of carrying out quickly-search actions foiled the smuggling of narcotic drugs.
In the course of customs control at the customs post MAPP Adler customs officers detained 34-the summer citizen of Abkhazia. The woman was from Russia to Abkhazia in the “green corridor”.
On the basis of operational information received from the Service in Sochi UFSB of Russia across Krasnodar Krai on the possible movement of drugs, it was decided to hold a personal customs inspection.
Before the inspection, the customs officers invited the citizen to voluntarily surrender possible, the goods hidden from customs control. Realizing the hopelessness of the situation, the woman admitted that really is in possession of narcotic substance “Sol”. She gave customs officers the polymer bundle, that was hiding in his underwear.
The substance was sent for physical and chemical examination. According to the expert the research a substance is drug – N-methylephedrine, weight of 0.76 grams.
In accordance with article 229.1 of the Criminal code of the Russian Federation illegal movement across the customs border of the EEU or the state border of the Russian Federation with member States of the EAEU of drugs, qualifies as contraband.
Currently solves a question on excitation of criminal case under paragraph “C” of part 2 of article 229.1 of the criminal code (illegal movement across the customs border of the EAEU of narcotic drugs in large size). The suspect is in a temporary detention center of Sochi. The citizen threatened with imprisonment for the term from five till ten years with the penalty to one million roubles.
