Vladimir Bulavin took part in the opening ceremony of the monument to the genus Bibikova in the Kolomna district of the Moscow region
The head of FCS of Russia Vladimir Bulavin 22 January 2020 took part in the opening ceremony of the obelisk Russian noble family Bibikova in the village of Shkin in the Kolomna district of Moscow region.
The representative of the dynasty Berikovich – Dmitry Gavrilovich Bibikov – made in the XIX century a significant contribution to the development of the customs service of Russia.
“In the history of customs Dmitry Bibikov came as a “hardener” to the Russian customs. Under his guidance, particular attention was paid to the development and strengthening of individual structures of the customs service to protect the borders of the state – Customs border guards,” – said in his speech, Vladimir Bulavin.
“Under the leadership of Bibikov was implemented customs policy aimed at safeguarding the economic interests of the state and development of Russian factories. Was carried out extensive work on improvement of customs tariffs, enhanced anti-smuggling, introduced compulsory marking of imported goods,” he said.
In 2012, the year of the 220th anniversary of the birth of Dmitry Gavrilovich, the FCS of Russia was established portrait medal to his name. To date, the medal “Dmitry Bibikov” was awarded more than 2.2 thousand officers and employees of the Federal customs service. Over 50 medals awarded to persons from the number of customs officers, which actively assists in solving the tasks entrusted to the customs authorities.
The event was attended by the Minister of internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Vladimir Kolokoltsev, head rosrezerva Dmitry Gogin, head of the Russian military-historical society Vladimir Medinsky, pilot-cosmonaut, hero of the Soviet Union, major General of aviation, the Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Tereshkova.
