January 14, 2020 in the customs control zone MAPP Dzhankoy arrived the vehicle under control of the citizen N. According to the information stated in the passenger customs Declaration on the customs territory of the EAEU imported goods for personal use, all were in use, namely, wire, wire, plastic wire brushes, rollers, barrels, sheets of metal and other goods with a total weight of 1335 kg.

Customs inspector explained to the citizen that he declared the property on the basis of its nature and quantity, can not be classified as goods for personal use. For its import into the territory of the EEU it is necessary to pay customs payments.

Not wanting to comply with the requirements of the customs legislation, N was offered a bribe to the official of customs in the amount of 30 thousand rubles for illegal unimpeded pass of the imported goods.

The customs officer warned the citizen about the criminal liability for such action, and the attempt of inducement to commit corruption offenses notified chief in the prescribed manner.

At the present time in connection with the attempted bribery against a citizen N a criminal case under part 3 of article 30, part 3 of article 291 of the criminal code.

The sanction of this article provides the punishment of deprivation of liberty for a term up to eight years with a fine in the amount of thirtyfold the amount of the bribe.
