Smolensk customs: during the first half of 2020 in automatic mode released almost 18 thousand declarations

For the 6 months 2020 Smolensk customs has issued some 78 thousand customs declarations (DT). Of them in automatic mode without participation of the inspector in that time released 17,95 thousand DT.

Automatically registered 9 thousand declarations for the exported goods and more than 47 thousand declarations for imported goods. The share of declarations was without the participation of inspectors has grown compared with the same period of 2019 for export from 84,6% to 93,9%, import – from 39.7% to 69.8%. The share is automatically issued electronic declarations submitted by traders to the low level of risk has also increased. For exported goods – from 59.9% to 82,4%, imported – from 34.9% to 60.1%.

The main advantage of automatic registration and autopause declarations for goods is the reduction of time of customs operations. So, for automatic registration of the goods Declaration takes about one minute, and the automatic release of the order of three minutes. The decision in respect of declarations was adopted without the participation of officials of the customs post. This eliminates the human factor when making decisions, reduced corruption risks.

From 1 October 2020 Smolensk customs will be reorganized in the form of joining to it of the Tver customs. Region of activity will be Smolensk and Tver regions. In the future, Smolensk customs to become the customs actual control.
