In accordance with the legislation, at this stage mandatory labeling of certain types of soft drinks in glass and polymeric consumer packaging is introduced. Import and circulation of these unlabeled products in Russia is not allowed
Since the introduction of mandatory labeling of certain types of soft drinks, mobile groups of Samara Customs have identified 36 vehicles transporting goods in violation of this decree
“First of all, these measures are aimed at protecting buyers from counterfeit goods. By scanning the code through a special application “Honest ZNAK”, the consumer can find out full information about the purchased goods”, – said Rustam Tuntaev, Deputy Head of Samara Customs
The next stage of mandatory labeling in Russia will begin on March 1, 2024 – means of identification will have to be applied to certain types of soft drinks packaged in cans, including aluminum ones.
