Saratov customs: 20 tons of unmarked millet returned to sender

On March 24, a mobile group of the Saratov Customs in cooperation with the Rosselkhoznadzor and the Border Department of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Saratov and Samara regions at the multilateral road checkpoint Ozinki stopped the export of a large consignment of cereals (ground millet) from the territory of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Kazakhstan.  

In the course of customs control it was found that the carrier has no marking with information about the transported goods, which is a violation of the provisions of the decision of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission from November 30, 2016 № 157 “On approval of the Unified quarantine phytosanitary requirements for regulated products and regulated objects on the customs border and on the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union” and the Federal Law “On plant quarantine” from 21.07.2014 206-FZ.

At the time of the customs control it was found that the carrier has no marking with information about the transported goods

The vehicle with the goods was returned to the place of departure.
