A Samara customs officer refused a bribe of 150 thousand rubles. Thus, the bribe-giver wanted to avoid punishment for illegally imported commercial consignment of clothes, shoes and perfumes.

The man offered the head of the department of control over importation and turnover of goods No. 2 of the Orenburg Region Service of Samara Customs for a monetary reward not to draw up a protocol on administrative offense for non-declaration of goods previously imported into Russia from a neighboring country

The customs officer reported this fact to the anti-corruption department. During the transfer of money, the bribe-giver was detained

A criminal case has now been opened by the Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Orenburg region on the grounds of a crime under part 3 of article 30, part 3 of article 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (part 3 of article 291 of the Criminal Code). 3 Art. 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (bribe giving to an official, for the commission of knowingly illegal actions (inaction) in a significant amount).
