Valery Pikalyov Inspects the Work of the Main Data Processing Center of the Russian Federal Customs Service
Valery Pikalyov, the head of the Russian Federal Customs Service (FTS), and Denis Tereshchenko, the deputy head of the Service, inspected the progress of migrating databases and software tools of the Unified Automated Information System of Customs Authorities (EAIS TO) to the Main Data Processing Center (GTCOD) of the agency. The launch of the software tools will be completed by the end of this year. The Customs GTCOD is implemented in an architecture that allows servicing any of the center’s subsystems without stopping its overall operation. This is important for uninterrupted customs clearance of goods throughout the country. The center is equipped with systems for guaranteed power supply and diesel generators, which will allow it to operate autonomously for 12 hours if necessary. The level of fault tolerance and availability of the unified automated information system of customs authorities will be 99.9%. The center will take the work of the EAIS TO to a new level, including in the field of protecting critical information infrastructure and customs data.
