UTU Collegium discussed the issues of customs payments collection and work on maintaining official discipline

The board of the Southern Customs Directorate held an off-site meeting in Sochi to discuss measures taken by customs authorities to collect customs payments and penalties, as well as the work being done to prevent and resolve conflicts of interest and prevent corruption. The event was attended by Deputy Head of the Federal Customs Service Andrei Strukov, the leadership of the Southern Customs Department and customs authorities of the region.
Opening the work of the board, the head of the Southern Customs Administration Sergey Pashko noted that the issues on the agenda are very important and require substantive discussion. Recovery of customs payments and penalties, additionally calculated on the results of customs control, characterizes both the comprehensive work of customs authorities aimed at ensuring revenues to the federal budget, and the effectiveness of work in different areas of customs control. The tasks of combating and preventing corruption, preventing conflicts of interest, maintaining official discipline at an appropriate level do not lose their relevance and require joint efforts on the part of the management of customs authorities at all levels.
Deputy Head of the Department – Head of the Federal Customs Revenue Service Sergei Rudov reported in detail on the measures taken to recover customs payments and penalties additionally calculated on the results of customs control. In his report he presented a detailed analysis of the results of this work. Most of the customs of the region reached the value of the benchmark set by the FCS of Russia, and to improve the effectiveness of recovery involved units of customs authorities were asked to more coordinated approach to the planning and implementation of inspection activities. The main report was supplemented by the heads of the Crimean and Krasnodar customs.
The report on the state of work to prevent and resolve conflicts of interest, corruption prevention and the state of service discipline in the customs authorities of the Southern Customs Department was made by Deputy Head of the Department – Head of Personnel Service Vladimir Ivanenko. He dwelt in detail on the implementation of various anti-corruption mechanisms in customs authorities, the work being done to prevent conflicts of interest, organization of prevention and combating corruption, and reported on the state of official discipline for 11 months of 2023, noting the reduction in the number of violators and violations. The information of the keynote speaker was supplemented by the speeches of the management of the Southern Electronic and Astrakhan customs.
Summarizing the results of the discussion, Deputy Head of the FCS of Russia Andrey Strukov outlined the priority tasks in the considered areas of activity, thanked the South Russian customs officers for effective work in 2023 and congratulated them on the Constitution Day of the Russian Federation.
