6,000 metal puzzles for children have been recognized by the court as ownerless and repossessed by the state.

The Chinese-made products were detected on the Russian-Kazakh border by inspectors of the customs mobile group. 900 kg of “intellectual puzzles” were on their way from Kazakhstan to Bashkortostan. The total value of the illegal cargo amounted to more than 600,000 rubles

“During the inspection in the cargo compartment of the vehicle, customs officers found 36 boxes with metal puzzles for children. The carrier was unable to present shipping documents confirming customs declaration in the EAEU,” said Stanislav Vasyov, deputy head of Chelyabinsk customs

Because the owner and the recipient of the goods did not confirm the legality of importation of the products and the fact of their declaration, the court decided to recognize the property as ownerless and turn it into the property of the state

Bearing in mind the absence of documents confirming the safety of these goods, their further fate will be determined by the Federal Property Management Agency in accordance with the procedure established by law

At total, since the beginning of 2023, Chelyabinsk Customs has transferred over 8,000 items of goods to the Federal Property Agency
