“Many and often on different platforms talk about Russia’s isolation. However, international customs cooperation does not stop. In 2023, Urals customs officers participated in 16 international events. We received a delegation from Harbin Customs in the Urals. We exchanged experience with our colleagues during business trips to China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. Working meetings were held with representatives of the customs services of Kyrgyzstan and Iran“, – Alexei Frolov noted
In 2023, more than 100 billion rubles were transferred to the federal budget. The volume of budget revenues was influenced, among other things, by the Government’s decision to introduce an export duty. In total, about 17 billion rubles of export duties were transferred to the budget
The structure of foreign trade has not changed. The region remains characterized by the export orientation of foreign trade. The volume of exports is 3 times higher than the volume of imports
The main import supplies were made from China (43% of the import foreign trade turnover), Uzbekistan (8%), Indonesia (6%)
In the commodity structure of imports:
38% of machinery, equipment and transportation vehicles;
18% – products of chemical industry, rubber;
15% – metals and metal products;
11% – food products and raw materials for their production;
4% – textiles, textile products and footwear.
The main export supplies were made to China (31% of the export foreign trade turnover), Turkey (18%), Uzbekistan (11%)
In the commodity structure of exports:
52% metals and metal products;
31% products of chemical industry;
5% machinery, equipment, and vehicles;
1.5% timber and wood products.
For 2023, the value of goods imported under parallel imports was $36.5 million (+30%) and the weight of goods was 950 tons. These are clothing, footwear, perfumes, industrial equipment, machine tools and spare parts for them, spare parts for vehicles.

“The Ural Customs Administration is also actively working on the donation of goods returned to federal ownership. Last year 11 batches of goods worth more than 34 million rubles were transferred to social institutions of the region. Those in need received 42 tons of sugar, 36 thousand sanitary and hygienic products, 7 thousand units of clothing, more than 3 thousand units of consumer goods. In addition, 8 batches of goods worth 9 million rubles were transferred to the units of the Ministry of Defense of Russia,” said Alexei Frolov
