The Pskov customs officers have detained jewellery worth more than 1.3 million rubles

Employees of the Pskov customs and Department of the FSB of Russia in the Pskov region at the customs post MAPP of Shumilkino on the Russian-Estonian border has revealed the illegal movement of jewelry. Customs officers found Russian citizen travelling in the passenger bus “Riga – Saint-Petersburg”, 43 articles of precious metals.

The market value of bracelets, rings and other jewelry to more than 1.3 million rubles.

Pskov customs has opened a criminal case under part 1 of article 226.1 of the criminal code.

Goods “made of precious metals” included in “the List of strategically important goods and resources for the purposes of article 226.1 of the criminal code of the Russian Federation” approved by the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 923 of 13 September 2012.

Large amount of strategically important goods and resources recognized their value exceeding 1 000 000 rubles.
