The Bashkortostan customs office revealed the fact of withdrawal of currency abroad in large size

Bashkortostan customs has opened a criminal case on the fact of the withdrawal of foreign currency abroad on a large scale. The amount of damage exceeded 13 million rubles.

In the framework of the customs inspection it was established that the inhabitant of Bashkiria has concluded the contract on delivery to Russia from Kazakhstan diesel fuel. However, the goods into the territory of the Russian Federation is not received, the money at the expiration of the contract in the country returned. At the expense of the contractor were listed 180 130 thousand U.S. dollars, which amounted to 13 million 043 thousand at the exchange rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation at the moment the required period of refund.

Bashkortostan customs has opened a criminal case under paragraph “a” of part 2 of article 193.1 of the Criminal code of Russian Federation (currency operations on transfer of funds in foreign currency or the currency of the Russian Federation on non-resident Bank account with a credit organization, with the authority of an agent of currency control of documents related to the conduct of such transactions and containing knowingly false information as to the reasons, goals and purpose of the transfer, committed in large amount). At present investigative actions are carried out.

Recall that in December last year, the Bashkortostan customs has opened a criminal case against an organized criminal group on the fact of conclusion to China funds in especially large size − more than 127 million rubles (more than 12 million yuan) using false documents.

For reference, paragraph “a” of part 2 of article 193.1 of the criminal code of Russian Federation assumes punishment in the form of deprivation of liberty for a term up to five years with a fine in the amount up to one million rubles or the salary or other income condemned for the period till five years or without it.
