A motor ship from the port of Yalova (Turkey) arrived at the port of Rostov-on-Don for customs operations.

In the course of joint control officials of the customs post of the River Port of Rostov-on-Don and the Frontier Department of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Rostov region revealed a discrepancy between the actual amount of fuel declared by the carrier. It was found that the regular fuel tanks contained 4 tons more fuel than declared

According to the results of customs control, cases on administrative offenses were initiated against the carrier and the captain of the vessel under part 1 of article 16.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation “Failure to declare goods subject to customs declaration in the prescribed form”. This article provides punishment for legal entities in the form of a fine from one second to two times the value of goods (with or without confiscation), for officials – from ten thousand to twenty thousand rubles. Samples of fuel were sent to an expert forensic laboratory to establish the value

In total, since the beginning of 2024, customs officers have identified about 23 tons of undeclared fuel on motor vessels in the port of Rostov-on-Don
