A cargo van smuggling cigarettes has been apprehended

Customs officers together with officers of the Krasnodar Territory FSS of Russia stopped the import of a large shipment of tobacco products in the stashes of a truck.
According to operational information received from the Service in Sochi of the Krasnodar Territory of the Federal Security Service of Russia, officers of the customs post of the Adler IACP detained a truck GAZ 37170A, which arrived from the Republic of Abkhazia
The results of the inspection of the vehicle with the use of a mobile inspection and examination complex established the probability of foreign attachments.
“In the course of customs inspection of the cargo van in it were found caches with a large batch of tobacco products, – said the head of the customs post MAPP Adler Krasnodar customs Alexei Bykov. – The cigarettes were hidden in the rear wall and ceiling panel of the cargo compartment of the vehicle”
From the van seized more than 3,300 packs (68,000 pcs.) of cigarettes brands “BUSINESS ROYALS”, “SUPER SLIMS”, “CHANGE”, produced in the UAE, without Russian excise stamps and special markings.
According to the results of the examination, the market value of the detained batch of tobacco products amounted to more than 0.5 million rubles. The tobacco products and the car used for their illegal transportation were seized. A criminal case has been opened on the fact of smuggling of tobacco products
