Krasnoyarsk customs officers found an illegal shipment of acupuncture needles in the luggage of a foreigner

The foreigner said he was carrying the goods for an acquaintance who does acupuncture at a massage parlor. He said the goods were worth just over 7,000 yuan (about 90,000 rubles)

Based on the quantity of goods and the airline passenger’s explanations, customs officials recognized the products as a commercial lot, which is subject to customs declaration under the general procedure with the payment of customs duties.

Krasnoyarsk customs initiated proceedings against the foreign citizen on administrative offense under part 1 of article 16.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (non-declaration of goods). Needles and syringes were seized, the court will make a decision on them
