Bicycle imports to Siberia grew 2.3 times

From January to April 2024, Siberian customs officers controlled the import of more than 30,000 imported bicycles, 2.3 times more than in the same period last year
Of this number, more than 4.2 thousand were children’s two-wheeled bicycles. The value of children’s and adult bicycles imported since the beginning of the year amounted to 1.6 million U.S. dollars, the main supplier of these bicycles remains China.
Siberian entrepreneurs imported a total of about 38,500 units of sports equipment by summer, including bicycles, scooters, as well as trampolines and children’s swimming pools. In general, the value of imports of such goods more than doubled compared to last year
It should be noted that the import consignment of sports equipment is released by Siberian Electronic Customs on the same day when the declaration is submitted.
