Altai customs officers stopped the illegal export of a herd of horses to Kazakhstan

A mobile group of Altai Customs in cooperation with officers of the Border Department of the Federal Security Service of Russia in Altai Krai stopped a truck with 40 animals at the checkpoint “Kulunda”. Veterinary certificates for the cargo were issued with violations

The customs officers handed the horses over to representatives of Rosselkhoznadzor for Altai Krai and the Altai Republic, who returned them to the territory of the region. The carrier was brought to administrative responsibility under Part 2 of Article 10.8 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation

It should be noted that since the beginning of the year Altai customs officers have stopped 19 cases of illegal export of horses from Russia, including 337 animals returned to the shippers due to violations of veterinary legislation.
