Officers of the department of control over importation and turnover of goods of STU revealed in the Novosibirsk trade network 2,260 units of electronic cigarettes and liquids for “vapes” without mandatory labeling and documents confirming the customs declaration of goods.

The illegally imported foreign-made vape liquids were found in three stores owned by the same entrepreneur as part of the domestic market control.

An investigation is underway

It should be noted that in total in 2023 Siberian customs officers seized 10.5 thousand electronic nicotine delivery systems and nicotine-containing liquids imported without labeling “DataMatrix” and with other violations. The largest batches were detected by officers of the Kemerovo (about 7 thousand units) and Krasnoyarsk (more than 3 thousand units) customs. The labeling of the goods indicates that they have passed all the procedures for assessing compliance with the EAEU technical regulations
