The illegal export of 10 tons of wheat flour was prevented by a mobile group of Chelyabinsk customs together with officers of the Border Department of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Chelyabinsk region. The law enforcers stopped the cargo vehicle in the area of Bugristoye checkpoint

According to the driver of the truck, the cargo compartment contained bran. However, instead of the declared products, the stationary inspection and screening complex (SIDC) showed the presence of flour. The transporter was unable to provide inspectors with supporting documents and a phytosanitary certificate for the food product.

“In 2023, mobile groups of Chelyabinsk customs inspected 72 thousand vehicles – this is 2.5 times more than a year earlier. Violations were detected in every 130th heavy truck. With non-compliance with the rules of phytosanitary control prevented the movement of 24 consignments of goods with a total weight of 400 tons,” – comments acting deputy head of Chelyabinsk customs Denis Tsymbal

The vehicle with illegal goods was returned to the territory of the Russian Federation. The materials have been sent to Rosselkhoznadzor for further decision-making
