Samara customs officers stopped smuggling of pork worth more than 4 million rubles

Employees of the Samara Customs Service for the Orenburg region stopped the illegal export of about 19 tons of pork from the Russian Federation to the Republic of Kazakhstan. The set of documents for the transported goods contained a veterinary certificate with signs of forgery.
In the course of operational and investigative measures it was established that the producer of the goods, specified in the documents of the carrier, is not engaged in meat production for a long time, respectively, the goods were not supplied to the owner. In addition, the branding on the carcasses does not belong to the producer, and the specified consignment of goods was not produced by him.
According to the information provided by the Department of Rosselkhoznadzor for the Orenburg region, this veterinary certificate was not issued to the owner of the goods.
According to the specialist’s conclusion, the total market value of the transported goods amounted to more than 4 million rubles, which, according to the legislation, is a large amount.
Samara Customs initiated a criminal case under Part 3, Article 30, Part 1, Article 226.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation – attempted smuggling of strategically important resources on a large scale. the investigation is ongoing.

The moved goods are included in the List of strategically important resources, approved by the Resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation from 13.09.2012 № 923 «On approval of the list of strategically important goods and resources for the purposes of Article 226.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation».
