On January 26, 2023, an extended meeting was held to summarize the results of the Dagestan Customs for 2023 and set tasks for 2024. Dmitry Gennadievich Shtenberg, First Deputy Head of the North Caucasus Customs Directorate, arrived to participate in the event. Ramazan Dzhafarov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Dagestan, as well as representatives of interacting structures and departments of the republic took part in the meeting

The agenda of the day included topics on the main directions of the customs activity

An important role in speeding up customs operations at customs posts and checkpoints is played by the continuous operation of information and communication technologies used by customs authorities. Promising technologies for automating the customs transit procedure are being effectively implemented, such as the use of electronic declaration of the customs transit procedure, automatic registration of electronic transit declarations and automated release of goods

In 2023, the Dagestan customs office transferred more than 257 million rubles to the federal budget, of which more than 177 million rubles – proceeds from the utilization fee. More than 300 thousand cargo vehicles and about 370 thousand individuals crossed the customs border of the EAEU in the region of the customs service. In 2023, there was an increase in the volume of customs operations. the number of reconciliations carried out by the customs offices of Dagestan Customs increased by almost 50% in comparison with the previous year, and the number of checked certificates of origin of goods increased by 34.31%

Departments of the service after the release of goods in 2023 completed 190 forms of customs control. According to the results of verification activities additional customs payments, fines amounting to more than 209 million rubles, of which recovered more than 75 million rubles. The mobile group of customs inspected 497 vehicles

The law enforcement units of the customs initiated 31 criminal cases and 4225 cases of administrative offenses. More than 852 kilograms of potent substances were seized from illegal trafficking. The total value of goods seized in criminal cases amounted to 119.9 million rubles

In the area of protection of intellectual property rights, 2,287 products were recognized as counterfeit.

The Dagestan Customs successfully realized the tasks set for 2023

After discussing the tasks for the current year, the first deputy head of the North Caucasus Customs Directorate Dmitry Shtenberg oriented the customs personnel to maintain and increase the positive dynamics in all areas of activity

The Head of Dagestan Customs Sergey Vyacheslavovich Trotsko thanked the leadership and the Government of the Republic for their assistance in carrying out the functions of Dagestan Customs. He also expressed his gratitude to the leadership and staff of the ministries and departments of the republic for their support and joint work
