More than 2 million rubles of customs duties owed to the state budget businessman in the import of Chinese milk powder in Russia
2.26 million rubles of customs duties underpaid in the budget of the Russian Federation the businessman from Vladivostok on the import into Russia of a substitute for powdered milk in China. Vladivostok customs revealed the crime and instituted criminal proceedings.
From 2017 to 2019 Vladivostok, the company has imported into Russia from China more than 600 tonnes of powdered milk substitute. Declaring the goods, the importer intends to lower the cost.
According to the head of the investigation Department of the Vladivostok customs Alexey Ksenofontov, customs officers found out that the goods were bought in China at prices much higher than reported in customs declarations. False Declaration led to an understatement of the payable customs duties and taxes.
The Vladivostok customs has opened a criminal case against the head of the company under part 1 of article 194 of the criminal code (evasion from payment of customs payments), punishable up to two years of imprisonment.
