Ekaterinburg customs officers seized 20 tons of illegal clothes worth 77 million rubles

Customs officers have detected 20 tons of illegal clothes in a lorry traveling from Kazakhstan to Ekaterinburg to be unloaded at one of the wholesale markets. The value of the detained consignment is estimated at 77 million rubles, and the amount of unpaid customs duties is 24 million rubles

In the course of the inspection, inspectors found almost 60,000 items of clothing in the truck: jackets, suits, jeans, gloves labeled with famous foreign sports brands, as well as mink coats and underwear. According to the labels, all of the goods are made in China and South Korea.

The carrier had no accompanying documents. According to the results of the inspection, the goods were recognized as illegally moved across the customs border of the EAEU and placed in a temporary storage warehouse. The consignee has a month to voluntarily declare and pay customs duties
