Chelyabinsk customs officers stopped illegal export of dual-use goods

Four parts of an armored helmet used to cover and protect a person’s face and eyes were detected by inspectors of the mobile group of Chelyabinsk Customs together with officers of the Border Department of the Federal Security Service of the region in the cargo compartment of a vehicle at a border checkpoint. Zabrala (movable part of the helmet) with armored glass tried to export to Kazakhstan.
A license from the Federal Service for Technical and Export Control is required for the legal movement of such goods. However, during the customs inspection, the driver was unable to provide it. The consignor told customs officers that the packers forgot to remove the armored glass from the pickups.
«These goods are dual-use goods that can be used in the creation of armaments, in their respect export control», – comments the head of the Chelyabinsk customs Mikhail Ponomarev.
On the fact of non-compliance with the established restrictions on the export of goods, a case of administrative offense was initiated, the violator was punished with an administrative fine.
