28.5 tons of fresh cut flowers have been imported by importers of the Central Federal District since the beginning of February. The goods were registered in the Central Electronic Declaration Center in Moscow. The value of the imported cargo amounted to almost 194 thousand U.S. dollars

Roses become the most popular every year: they are eagerly brought not only on the eve of the holidays, but also in the off-season. The flower accounts for about 30% of all shipments. Carnations come second, accounting for 12% of imports

Last year, the Central CED processed 627.6 tons of fresh flowers. The peak period of imports was traditionally the end of February, the time when importers actively supply flowers on the eve of International Women’s Day

“It is very important to formalize such fragile goods as quickly as possible. A significant part of declarations with fresh-cut flowers is issued in automatic mode. It takes a little more than one minute,” said Sergei Belyaev, head of Central Electronic Customs
