Bashkortostan Customs: Individuals have become more frequent violators of customs legislation

For 11 months of 2023 Bashkortostan Customs initiated 1842 cases of administrative offenses (in the same period of 2022 – 1724),   of which 38.8% were committed by individuals, 31.9% – legal, 4.1% – officials, 25.2% – individual entrepreneurs.
The most common administrative offenses in the outgoing year were failure to submit or untimely submission to the customs authorities of statistical forms of accounting of goods moved between the EAEU countries (48.4% of all cases of administrative offenses); non-declaration or false declaration of goods (19.3%); failure to comply with prohibitions and restrictions on the movement of goods (12.6%); violation of currency legislation (5.9%).
During the same period, Bashkortostan Customs initiated 14 criminal cases (in 2022 – 13).
 «The grounds for them were the illegal export by an organized criminal group of strategically important resources of flora and fauna; illegal import of prohibited potent substances; illegal export of oil products; evasion of customs payments; export of cash on an especially large scale; violation of currency legislation», − said Deputy Head of Bashkortostan Customs Rinat Galiev.
According to the materials of operational units of the customs additional charges of customs and other payments, fines  for the amount of  86,604,79 million rubles (in the same period  2022 – 38,319,92 million rubles).
