Perm customs has opened a criminal case over the illegal movement of timber

Employees of the Perm customs initiated a criminal case against the organization involved in exporting timber to China.

As a result of the customs inspection it was established that in 2017 and 2018 during the customs Declaration was declared false information on the customs value of exported timber, which resulted in non-payment of customs payments in the budget of the Russian Federation in the amount of 1 948 715 rubles.

The total volume of timber from white birch exported from the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union is 15 868, 64 m3.

On the fact of illegal movement through customs border of the Customs Union within the EurAsEC strategically important resources in the large size, for a total of 864 20 132 rubles, a criminal case under signs of crime under part 1 of article 226.1 of the Criminal code of the Russian Federation.

Currently the investigation is underway.
