Samara customs withdrew from circulation more than 43 thousand units of counterfeit goods

Officials of the mobile group of the Samara customs had stopped a cargo vehicle that was being driven by a citizen of the Republic of Belarus. The car was followed from the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Russian Federation. According to the submitted shipping documents in the truck carrying the consignment of goods “toys, switches”. During the inspection of cargo by customs inspectors identified the goods marked trademarks of “LOL”, “Legrand”.

During the customs inspection of consignment by employees of the Samara customs revealed 43 112 units of goods with signs of counterfeit, trademark or designation confusingly – Legrand, LOL, Hummer, Barbie, Paw Patrol.

By estimations of owners, the total size of the caused damage makes more than 15.8 million.

The Samara customs office filed the case on administrative offence, responsibility for which is provided part 1 of article 14.10 of the administrative code “Illegal use of trademark”, part 1 of article 7.12 of the administrative code “Violation of copyright and related rights”, the goods seized, conducted an administrative investigation.
