In the first two months of 2024, more than 81 thousand people crossed the country’s air border in the Ufa air harbor (57 thousand in the same period last year), of which more than 70 thousand traveled to non-CIS countries, 11 thousand – to the Eurasian Economic Union states

The number of international flights from the capital of Bashkiria has also increased noticeably. In January-February 2024, it amounted to 608 flights, of which 110 were sent on the route of the EAEU countries (in the same period of 2023, 471 and 82 respectively).

The number of international flights from the capital of Bashkiria has also increased

The increase in activity at the customs post of Ufa Airport is due to the emergence last year of new destinations to Samarkand (Uzbekistan), Minsk (Belarus), Tbilisi (Georgia), as well as an increase in the frequency of flights to Egypt (Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh), Uzbekistan (Tashkent, Samarkand), EAEU countries (Armenia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan)

The most frequent offenses, both last year and this year, were non-compliance with regulations on the movement of tobacco and alcohol products

“The customs rules for moving goods of our country can be found on the website of the Federal Customs Service of Russia and the Volga Customs Directorate in the sections “Information for individuals”, on information boards at the airport at the entrance to the customs control zone. In difficult situations, you can ask for help from a customs officer,” said Aidar Biktimerov, head of the Ufa Airport customs post
