Ekaterinburg customs officers handed over a batch of undeclared sneakers to social institutions

Almost 500 pairs of sneakers worth 200,000 rubles were handed over to social institutions in the Sverdlovsk region by officers of the Ekaterinburg customs office. The shoes were discovered during customs inspection. It turned out that the sneakers were not declared. The court confiscated the goods and the entrepreneur was fined

“After the court’s decision to confiscate the goods and confirm their safety for the consumer, we implemented the order of transfer to social institutions. This time it is three organizations of the Sverdlovsk region specializing in assistance,” said Eduard Turanov, the head of the Ekaterinburg customs office.

50 pairs of women’s sneakers will go to the Sverdlovsk psychoneurological boarding school, another 62 pairs will go to the Center for Social Assistance to Families and Children in Chkalovsky district of Yekaterinburg. Men’s shoes will go to the Tagil boarding house for the elderly and disabled, customs officers will give them 384 pairs of sneakers
