Ural customs officers have cleared the import of a large shipment of mangoes and pineapples. 4 tons of mangoes worth almost 2 million rubles and 4 tons of pineapples arrived in Ekaterinburg. The fruits arrived by motor transport from China
“Customs control of perishable goods is carried out as a priority. We realize how important it is to preserve the freshness of fruits and promptly deliver them to consumers. Therefore, customs formalities are carried out in the shortest possible time,” said Alexey Frolov, Head of the Urals Customs Directorate
For the 1st quarter of 2024, more than 18 tons of tropical fruits worth $37 thousand were brought to the Urals. Compared to the same period last year, there is a threefold increase in weight terms and a twofold increase in value terms. The import of Chinese pineapples has tripled. More than 10 tons of the sweet fruit have arrived since the beginning of the year. Shipments of mangoes have also increased twofold to 4.5 tons.
