28 cars “for personal use” imported by a native of the Tyumen region

Tyumen customs officers revealed non-payment of utilization fee for 7 million rubles

From the beginning of 2022 to July 2023, a native of Tyumen region imported 28 vehicles into Russia from the Republic of Belarus: BMW X7, Kia Rio, Volkswagen Tiguan. In his application for payment of the utilization fee, he indicated the coefficient that applies to imports by individuals for personal and family needs

During the inspection, however, customs officials found that only 2 cars had been registered by his wife. The other 26 cars were sold and registered by new owners

The Tyumen Customs sent an application to the court, which ruled to recover from the debtor the utilization fee and late payment penalties totaling almost 7 million rubles.

We would like to remind you that from April 1, 2024, the rules for calculating the recycling fee are in force taking into account the changes introduced by Resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 152 of February 13, 2024 “On Amending Resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1291 of December 26, 2013”.
