Southern electronic customs: most violations detected in import of goods from China and Uzbekistan

According to the results of work in 2023, Southern Electronic Customs initiated one-third more cases of administrative offenses on smuggling-forming structures (non-declaration, false declaration of goods, non-compliance with prohibitions and restrictions on import or export of goods) than in 2022 – 453 cases against 336 cases. The main offenders in this category of cases are legal entities – 77.3%

The most offenses under the smuggling elements of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation were detected when importing goods into the Russian Federation (93.4%). The main countries of departure were China and Uzbekistan

As a result of the investigations, customs duties and taxes worth more than 77 million rubles were paid and fines of 50.1 million rubles were imposed to compensate for the damage caused by the offense.
