71 years ago in Brussels the first session of the Customs Cooperation Council was held, later renamed in 1994 in the World Customs Organization (World Customs Organization). Customs services of more than 180 countries are members of the organization, the Federal Customs Service of Russia is one of the key members of the World Customs Organization and takes an active part in its activities. The rate of electronic declaration of customs transit procedure during 2023 was 93.2 %

Customs initiated 35 criminal cases and registered 1,437 cases of administrative offenses. As part of the work with goods returned to federal property, in 2023 there was an increase in the value of confiscated goods by 2.7 million rubles.

According to the results of work in 2023, the customs office was recognized as the winner in two categories of the annual competition for teams of customs authorities of the region, held by the Southern Customs Directorate. Novorossiysk Customs took first place in the nomination “Best Customs team of actual control”. In the Best Customs Post (Electronic Declaration Center) category, the Novorossiysk Customs Post (EDC) of Novorossiysk Customs became the leader. The Novorossiysk Central Customs Post was awarded second place in the nomination “Best Customs Post Team at a Non-Automobile Checkpoint”

For the achievement of high performance in protecting the economic interests of the Russian Federation in 2023, the team of law enforcement departments of Novorossiysk Customs took 2nd place. Employees of the customs inquest and administrative investigation departments were recognized as leaders in performance results.
