The illegal movement of collections of numismatics and postage stamps was stopped by Kingisepp customs officers at the RussiancEstonian border.

Inspecting the trunk of the car, in the suitcase, among the personal belongings of the citizen, the inspectors found 9 albums with postage stamps. The philatelic collection totals 8,105 postage stamps

Customs officials made a decision to send the stamps for examination to identify them, establish their status and market value. Coins seized as the subject of a case of administrative offense, responsibility for committing which is provided for by Part 2 of Article 16.1 of the CAO RF disguising goods from customs control, – explained the acting head of the customs post IACP Ivangorod Kingiseppskoy customs Evgeny Skoryukov. – After receiving the results of the expert examination, a procedural decision will also be made with regard to the stamps.
