20 thousand tons of mandarins have been imported into Russia from the Republic of Abkhazia.

The Republic of Abkhazia is one of the main citrus supplier countries to the Russian Federation. Abkhazian mandarins are valued for their unique natural sweet and sour taste. This fragrant treat is a traditional decoration of any New Year’s table

In the run-up to the holidays, the supply of mandarins is increasing. Today, up to 700 tons of citrus fruits arrive from Abkhazia per day, and up to 500 trucks with agricultural products pass customs control on average. Tons of fragrant cargo from the neighboring country are taken mainly to the central part of Russia: Moscow, St. Petersburg and other cities

Since October 2023, 20 thousand tons of tangerines have been controlled at the customs post of the Krasnodar Customs Adler MACP Adler. In addition to them, entrepreneurs continue to import oranges (112 tons), lemons (531 tons). In total, 21.5 thousand tons of agricultural products from Abkhazia have been imported to date

Customs clearance and control of perishable cargo is carried out in priority order, in the shortest possible time. The use of periodic declaration, modern technical means of control significantly reduces the time of necessary customs procedures
