25 smartphones without documents detained by Novosibirsk customs officers

25 new cell phones were found during a joint control measure by officers of the mobile group of Novosibirsk Customs and the Border Guard Department of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Novosibirsk Region in a car that entered Russia from Kazakhstan through the Pavlovka multilateral automobile checkpoint.

The carrier was able to provide the goods to the Novosibirsk customs office and the Border Guard Department of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Novosibirsk Region

The carrier was unable to provide shipping documents, including those confirming the performance of customs operations on the territory of the EAEU in respect of the consignment of goods, which in terms of quantity is classified as commercial

As a result of customs control, it was found that the phones under inspection were imported into the territory of the EAEU without customs declaration. The expert examination showed that the detained goods were original, the market value of the lot amounted to 2 million 345 thousand rubles

The carrier was notified that in order to return the cell phones, it was necessary to provide documents confirming the authority of the owner and certifying that customs operations had been carried out in respect of the consignment. However, the carrier did not apply to the customs authorities within the legal deadline for receiving the goods

In accordance with the provisions of Chapter 51 of the EAEU Customs Code, the cell phones were handed over by Novosibirsk Customs to Rosimuschestvo for further sale.
