Direct supplies of fruits and vegetables from abroad to Krasnoyarsk Krai have doubled

Published: March 21, 2024 10:17 AM

From the beginning of 2024 Krasnoyarsk customs officers have controlled 9.2 thousand tons of fresh fruits and vegetables imported directly to the Krasnoyarsk Territory from abroad. This is twice as much as in the same period of 2023 (4.4 thousand tons)

The main countries supplying fruit and vegetable products have traditionally been China and Uzbekistan, which account for 99% of all direct shipments.

Fresh zucchini, eggplants, peppers, broccoli, grapefruit, tamarinds, guava and other fruits and vegetables were imported into the region

Fresh watermelons from China are already arriving in the Krasnoyarsk region from abroad, while in 2023 their deliveries did not begin until late May.

The Krasnoyarsk Territory has already received fresh watermelons from China

It should be noted that all direct deliveries of fruit and vegetable products to Krasnoyarsk Krai from abroad first arrive at the Krasnoyarsk customs post. As a rule, on the day of arrival fruits and vegetables already get to the domestic market for further sale to consumers
