Leadership of the North-West Customs Directorate met with future graduates

On the eve of the Day of Russian Students and the International Day of Customs Officer, the leadership of the North-West Customs Directorate met with future graduates of the V.B. Bobkov St. Petersburg branch of the Russian Customs Academy. V.B. Bobkov branch of the Russian Customs Academy.

The event was attended by representatives of various services: personnel, information and technical, legal, federal customs revenue, customs control after release of goods and organization of customs control. From RTA students of the 4th and 5th year students of the faculties of law, economics and customs affairs

A welcoming speech was made by Olga Shemyakina, acting deputy head of the NWTU – head of the personnel service of the department. She thanked the guys for their interest in the meeting and emphasized its importance, wished them success in their future careers and expressed her readiness to help them find jobs

Each leader spoke about his professional path, what skills and knowledge are necessary to enter the service, discussed topical issues related to the prospects of development of the customs sphere.

Customs veterans were also invited to the event. I am very pleased to see that you are interested in our profession. I am confident that you will become excellent specialists and successfully apply your knowledge in practice. Remember that your work is of great importance for our country and society as a whole, so always be responsible and professional in your activities – said Vladimir Nikitovich Pobirukhin, Chairman of the North-West Regional Council of Veterans of the Customs Service

Students asked questions, received valuable advice and recommendations from experienced specialists

After the talk the guys visited the museum of the customs service of the NWTU. They were immersed in the history of the emergence and development of the Russian Customs Service, learned about the most important events and heroes of the service

The department pays great attention to activities with graduates and attracting young professionals to serve in the customs service. In 2023, 302 graduates underwent pre-diploma practice, of which 81 graduates from the St. Petersburg branch of the RTA and 52 graduates from other universities were hired
