We are talking about foreign parcels with goods for personal use going to address individuals.
In January – March 2020 officials of the Krasnoyarsk customs has issued 188 international mail, which is 8% more than in the same period of 2019 (174 packages). In these parcels, to the address of the Krasnoyarsk region residents heading spare parts for cars, components for computers, clothing and other goods for personal use from the UK, France, South Korea, USA, UAE, Japan, Thailand, China and Singapore.
The increase in the number of issued Krasnoyarsk customs parcels is due, in particular, with a reduction in the threshold duty-free import of goods for personal use in international mail. From 1 January 2020, customs duties, taxes is not required if the value of the goods in the parcel does not exceed 200 euros, and weight – 31 kg.
At the same time decreased and the amount of the fee for exceeding these limits: now it is 15% of the cost, but not less than 2 euros per 1 kilogram of gross weight of international postage in excess of cost and (or) weight norm. When calculating the customs duties, taxes must be assessed the cost and weight of each parcel, regardless of the frequency of movement of goods.
The list of goods restricted for movement across the customs border of the customs Union when imported and (or) exported, the shipment of which by international mail is prohibited, is given in the Annex to the Commission Decision of the Customs Union dated 17.08.2010 No. 338 “On peculiarities of sending of goods in international mail”.
