From the shelves of the city of Novosibirsk seized sanctions goods
On one of the vegetable markets of the city of Novosibirsk in the course of joint RAID of the Novosibirsk customs office of Rosselkhoznadzor for the Novosibirsk region and the Novosibirsk transport Prosecutor’s office discovered prohibited to import into Russia of pear.
43 boxes of pears with a total weight of 506 kg were rubbed hallmarks and traces of the breakdowns and nipped the initial marking indicating the country of origin – Belgium.
Inspectors of Novosibirsk customs have been checked
the facts of the Declaration of this product by importers specified on the label. The test showed that the Declaration of pears for import to Russia importers were not carried out.
The seller explained that he knew about the prohibitions to the import into Russia of certain categories of food, pears purchased from a vendor in the city of Novosibirsk and did not pay attention to the marking on the boxes. Any documents for these products from the men were absent.
Based on the totality of findings established that this product (pear varieties “Conference”) is embargoed goods designated in the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of 6 August 2014 No. 560 “On applying certain special economic measures to ensure security of the Russian Federation”.
According to the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation from July 29, 2015 No. 391, and the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of July 31, 2015 No. 774, pear seized and destroyed by the staff of the office of Rosselkhoznadzor for the Novosibirsk region at the domestic waste landfill.
This is the third party of the sanctions, Novosibirsk seized by customs together with representatives of the Rosselkhoznadzor for the Novosibirsk region for the first two months 2020. Earlier, in January 2020, was seized 15 kg and 60 kg of poultry meat from the United States. In 2019 inspectors of Novosibirsk customs have been prevented implementation of more than 26 tons of such products.
