Koltsovsky customs officers found skewers and spices weighing 18 kilograms in the luggage of an airline passenger

At Koltsovo airport, customs officers found a shipment of skewers and spices weighing 18 kilograms in the luggage of a passenger on a Khujand-Yekaterinburg flight.

The offender was a 30-year-old citizen of Tajikistan, who was stopped by inspectors on the “green” corridor. In his suitcase, among his personal belongings, he was carrying 300 skewers and 40 spice packets

The man explained that he works as a cook in one of the restaurants of Uzbek cuisine in Yekaterinburg and planned to use these goods for cooking. According to him, he did not know about the need to declare and pay customs duties

A case on administrative offense was instituted under part 1 of article 16.2 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation (failure to declare goods)


Only goods for personal use can be transported across the EAEU customs border without declaration.

Goods intended for subsequent resale or use for commercial purposes are subject to declaration with payment of customs duties.
