2567 cars imported by individuals for personal use were registered by Ussuriysk customs officers in 2023. Through the Ussuriysk customs post of the Ussuriysk customs office both new cars and cars with mileage were registered. The amount of customs duties paid amounted to more than 1.4 billion rubles.
While in 2022, there were sporadic cases of vehicles being cleared (customs officers cleared 17 vehicles). Since 2023, there has been a sharp jump in the clearance of vehicles imported by individuals for personal use from the PRC. And every month their number increased

Alexei Kuzmin, head of Ussuriysk customs, said that in connection with the appearance of a new category of goods in the work of the customs, the customs building was organized a visit zone, equipped for comfortable work of customs representatives, training of officials, held several working meetings with declarants

The experience gained by Ussuriysk customs officers is successfully applied in practice. In 526 cases, signs of inaccurate information on the customs value of goods were identified and decisions were made to adjust it. The amount of additional payments exceeded 85 million rubles
The release did not stop during the holidays of 2024. For example, during the week of January holidays customs officers processed more than 60 used and new foreign cars. In total, since the beginning of 2024, Ussuri customs officers have already cleared 850 cars
