Nakhodka customs officers found drugs in the possession of two sailors before they set off on a voyage

Narcotic drugs were found by Nakhodkinsk customs officers together with officers of the Far Eastern Operational Customs in the possession of two sailors who were going on a foreign voyage. They face a penalty of up to 10 years in prison

The seafaring vessel, moored at a berth in Vladivostok, was going to the Republic of Korea. The drugs –  a mixture of tobacco and cannabis oil (hashish oil) customs officers found them in the cabins of two crew members. One of them had a package containing 1.50 g of hashish oil in his personal belongings, while the other had 20.58 g, which is a significant and large size, respectively

Nakhodkinsk customs initiated two criminal cases against citizens for smuggling of narcotic drugs under part 3 of article 30, part 2 of article 229.1 and part 3 of article 30, part 3 of article 229.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation

Investigative actions are being carried out to establish all the circumstances of the crimes committed.
