Vladivostok customs staff increased due to increased commodity flow in the Far Eastern region

The staff number of Vladivostok Customs has increased by 73 units in 2023. Of these, 42 positions have been added to the staff of the Vladivostok Electronic Declaration Center, while the rest have been transferred to actual control posts.

Maxim Shesternin, deputy head of Vladivostok Customs for human resources, said that the load on customs officials has increased with the growth of commodity flow. The additionally added positions will allow to optimize this load. The staff has been increased in the departments of customs clearance and customs control in the center of electronic declaration, as well as at the customs posts; Sea Port of Vladivostok and Pervomaysky

The increase in staffing levels has made it possible to eliminate the need for remote secondment of officials from other customs authorities, as well as to transfer some units of customs posts of actual control to a shift work schedule, including weekends and holidays.

To fill vacant positions, Vladivostok customs officers actively searched for candidates, including in higher education institutions: in the Vladivostok branch of the Russian Customs Academy and in other universities of Primorsky and Khabarovsk territories
