Smolensk customs officers have stopped the illegal import of 440 liters of unlabeled alcoholic products

A mobile group of Smolensk customs stopped the illegal movement from Belarus of 647 bottles of alcoholic beverages of more than 440 liters without special excise stamps.

The car was stopped on the highway “M1-Belarus” near the village of Krasnaya Gorka, Krasninsky district, Smolensk region. According to the accompanying documents, the vehicle was carrying glass and crystal products

In the course of inspection among glass and crystal, customs officers found boxes containing alcoholic beverages of Belarusian production in the assortment of 440 liters – vodka, cognac, liqueur, spirits and wine of 8 names. Excise stamps of the Russian Federation were absent on the goods. The driver did not submit documents for the products. According to preliminary estimates, the cost of the products is 152 thousand rubles

“In this fact there are signs of a crime under Article 171.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, associated with the transportation of products without labeling provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation,” – said the head of Smolensk customs Rustam Yakubov.

The materials of the inspection were sent to the local police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia at Smolensk station for a procedural decision
