620 packs a hidden Smoking mixture for hookah discovered Dagestani customs officers

18 Feb 2020 post MAPP Tagirkent-Kazmalyar of the Dagestan customs service when holding control and clearance of the vehicle brand “MITSUBIHI L 300”, EN route from the Azerbaijan Republic to the Russian Federation, under control of the citizen of Azerbaijan, discovered hidden from customs control product, Smoking mixture for the hookah.

A mixture with a total weight of 36 kilograms hidden in the Luggage compartment of the vehicle on the bottom, under the metal floor. Smuggled goods seized and sent for examination. On this fact customs opened the case on administrative offence under part 2 of article 16.1 KoAP of the Russian Federation “Concealment of goods from customs control”.

Background: under current law a citizen who has attained the age of 18 has the right to import (export) of not more than 200 cigarettes or 50 cigars (cigarillos) or 250 grams of tobacco or specified products in assortment with the total weight not exceeding 250 grams per one person.
