Special service: youth councils of the local customs and the Ural customs administration, visited the riot police of Ekaterinburg

On the eve of defender of the Fatherland Day, the representatives of youth councils of the customs authorities of Yekaterinburg was visited by a detachment of mobile special purpose Control Regardie in the Sverdlovsk region. Riot police in Yekaterinburg – one of the oldest departments in the country with a rich history.

About the history of the detachment told them in the Museum of the riot police. Sverdlovsk policemen were among the first participants in the storming of Grozny in December 1994. The biggest losses the unit suffered in March 1996 in Chechnya. Then in the fighting killed 10 members of the riot police. The Ural customs officers have honoured the memory of all those killed on duty. Now the men of the squad continue to serve in the North Caucasus region. But in Yekaterinburg, the work of the riot police is the protection of public order at mass and sporting events.

“On the eve of the holiday, it is important to thank the riot police for their risky and difficult service. And we, the young civil servants, it is important to know what our colleagues. Though we perform different tasks, but we serve one country. Do one thing,” – said Svetlana Seidelman, chief state customs inspector of the Ural customs office.

The Ural customs officers have invited the riot police with a return visit to show service of the Ural customs office.
